Hudec Memorial Hall, this unique meeting point of two cultures, is the result of on-going cooperation between Hungarian and Chinese architects, researchers and businesses. Formerly the residence of Mr. Hudec, current address is Panyu lu 129., the building has been renovated along specific reconstruction plans to house a permanent exhibition on the life and work of the renowned Hungarian architect. The opening of the HMH will also mark the 120th anniversary of Hudec’s birth.
The Association of Hungarian Architects have provided expertise and creativity for this reconstruction financed and organized by Dajun Real Estate Development Ltd. The District of Changning has contributed coordination and heritage protection in order to prepare the venue for exhibitions and architectural brainstorming. The collection is based on the family archives of Hudec descendants living in Hungary, Canada and the United States, as well as the materials produced by the Hudec Heritage Project Hungary.
